Sometimes we are quite surprised when ethics violations surface -- such as the recent Apple scandal. If you suspect they don't, it might be best to walk away. This unfortunately extends to charities too, though there are many great non-profit organizations out there. I really like the idea of offering them a discount rate like Judy and Dagmar do.katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08831538220598452096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2618029197139250711.post-76159361563003232612012-04-24T15:01:44.347-07:002012-04-24T15:01:44.347-07:00@Pennifer: you are in a lucky position of probably...@Pennifer: you are in a lucky position of probably not being confronted with this issue. In general, I do almost no corporate work. In addition to freelance translation, I also direct a small conservation non-profit (about 50/50) , so it's important for me to consider my freelancing clientele... I suppose if my translation volume was higher and (more important) my clientele more diverse, I'd probably develop my own guidelines, just to keep things clear, but since I have a fairly steady client list, there's not much need for it.penniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16041521362413587787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2618029197139250711.post-86567731490314520122012-04-21T10:34:35.898-07:002012-04-21T10:34:35.898-07:00Hi guys,

I may even reduce my rates or provide a free service.Meganhttp://speechmarkstranslation.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
