A colleague and friend, chemical translator Karen Tkaczyk just told us about a free localization seminar that's being offered on February 28, 2009. We have attended several useful webinars in the past, so it might be worth checking it out. The webinars we attended virtually were held by another company (whose name escapes us), and lead to several sales calls from said company. Still, we learned something.
We are not familiar with the company offering this particular Webinar, but we hear there is quite a bit of useful information. Contuining education for free? We are in!
Details and registration information can be found here.

I have participated in several Webinars regarding Localization, either software centric or in general. Those were presentations by SDL, Passolo and a couple of independent presentations by agencies. I have to admit that I rarely gained anything from it (fortunately, you can listen to it in the background and do other things).
It is similar to many ATA conference presentations - they are good and informative, but if you are in the business for 10+ years, those aren't really for you. I have yet to find a truly "advanced" presentation.
BTW, you link doesn't work, the proper link should go to the Enlaso website (not the Webex site): http://www.translate.com/Language_Tech_Center/Webinars/Localization_Program_Management.aspx
Hi ladies,
I attended another webinar by Enlaso and though the target was its clients rather than me, it was still interesting to hear. There were no follow up sales calls.
I'm always up for some free training. However, the link did not work. Could you please check it and repost?
Thanks,
Jenn
@Susanne and @Wanderjenn: thanks for letting me know about the link -- thanks! I agree, free training sounds like a good thing, doesn't it? I used to do what Susanne does: just listen in and keep on working on other things. @Karen: thanks again for sharing this.
