One year, hundreds of drafts, two hundred pages, two writers, eleven chapters, several dozen revisions, lots of sleepless nights, lots of second-guessing everything, dozens of logo and cover designs, three editors, one cartoonist, and one lay-out guru later: we have a book! We are delighted to announce that our book, "The Entrepreneurial Linguist: The Business-School Approach to Freelance Translation" is now available for sale. We decided to self-publish through Lulu.com, and while our book will be available through other online retail channels, we kindly ask those interested in buying the book to support Lulu and the authors by buying the book on Lulu!
We have given up on trying to create the perfect book (because there is no such thing), but are quite happy with the results. We hope you enjoy the book, which is a true labor of love. We appreciate the many pre-orders and all the interest in our book. Note: Lulu is still working out a few display issues on the page, which we are aware of. To read more about the book and to order it, please visit our Entrepreneurial Linguist website.

Congratulations!
I just bought my copy of the book to review for my translation blog fidusinterpres.com. Can't wait to read your great insights.

Congratulations. I’ve just bought the book in digital format. Thank you for the downloadable version; it’s a great idea, especially for those who live out of the USA, like me.
Best wishes.
Fernando.
Thanks, everyone, for your sweet comments! Much appreciated. We just realized we might have forgotten to include some of our favorite blogs in the list in the Social Media chapter -- please forgive us if your blog doesn't appear. Grrr...
Glad to hear that the download option is so popular. We hadn't even thought about it. When we went through the set-up process, Lulu suggested the downloadable verion to us, and it's great, since it saves the planet by eliminating shipping and printing.
Congratulations to both of you. After attending your excellent presentation, I had to get a copy of your book.

Thanks for your purchase, Ann, and I am so glad to hear you liked the workshop! We hope you enjoy the book as well (and the funny cartoons). It was truly a labor of love -- and while we've had a few challenges with display on the Lulu website and a few printing glitches, we are very happy with the result. It's not a perfect book in every sense, but instead of obsessing over it until 2010, we decided to publish it so our colleagues can benefit from it.
Congratulations on your great book. I just bought my digital copy and I'm enjoying it immensely.
I've also posted a link to your blog and book page on my blog.
All the best.
